William Smith senior Bridget Westerman anchored the Heron defense playing center back in its two shutout victories on the road last week. Westerman and the Heron defensive unit limited the Thoroughbreds to just four total shots and only two on goal in an 8-0 win on Friday. In a 1-0 win at RPI on Saturday, the William Smith defense held the Engineers to just just two shots and only one on goal, both in the first half. Westerman has started all 10 games this season. The No. 1 Herons have posted shutouts in six of their last seven games.
