RPI senior Tyler Yeastedt finished fifth in the discus and set a personal record and moved into third nationally in the hammer throw while competing in the Division I ECAC/IC4A Championship at Princeton. He trailed only competitors from Penn (1st & 2nd), Fairleigh Dickinson (3rd) and Harvard (4th) in the discus as he reached 50.72 meters, which he threw on his first attempt. There were 28 competitors in the discus. He also competed in the hammer and PRed at 59.86 meters. Yeastedt was ninth in the field that consisted of only Division I competitors with the exception of a teammate. There were 26 in the field.
