St. Lawrence University junior Thomas Caulfield became the first Saint runner in over 30 years to set a distance record when he ran 14:23.32 to finish sixth in the 5,000 meters at the Bucknell Bison Invitational. His time was a two-second improvement on the record previously set by Marc Gosselin in 1984. Caulfield's time is ninth-best in Division III this spring.
