Hobart College freshman Jonah Salita went 3-0 at number-one singles for the Statesmen this week. On Wednesday, against Hamilton, Salita bested Max McKee-Proctor, 6-2, 6-1 as Hobart collected an 8-1 win. Saturday, against Bard, Salita lost just two games as he beat Ted Laport, 6-1, 6-1. In Hobart's loss to St. Lawrence Sunday, Salita extended his winning streak to three matches when he defeated Dean Sponholz. Salita won 7-6 (10-8), 7-6 (7-3). He is now 8-6 in singles play this season. Salita also posted a 2-1 record in doubles play this week with fellow first-year Jonathan Atwater.
