RPI senior Tyler Yeastedt earned a victory and a runner-up among the three events he competed at the MIT Quad, including the top distance in the NCAA to date in the discus. Yeastedt won the discus with a throw of 49.96 meters, defeating 16 other competitors. The runner-up had a 48.46. Tyler was second in the shot put with a toss of 14.66 meters, which was ahead of 20 others and behind only the winner's throw of 15.63 meters. He also competed in the hammer, finishing 13th of 18 with a toss of 37.47 meters. As a team, the Engineers finished second behind MIT and ahead of Bates and Tufts.
