Vassar College freshman Sammy Stone was huge in helping Vassar to its best finish at the UNYSCSA Championships, as she placed on the podium in four different events this week. Stone started the week by finishing fourth in the 500, chalking up a 5:06.06 in the finals. On Thursday, Stone took third in the 200 free with a 1:54.66, a season-best for the rookie. Stone was then part of the sixth-place 800 free relay team that set the school record, as she posted a 1:55.10 split, the fastest of the four swimmers. Stone then finished second in the 1650 Saturday, chalking up a 17:36.84.
