Hobart College freshman guard Jamal Lucas averaged a team-high 20.0 ppg, a team-high 7.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, and 1.0 spg in a 2-0 week for the Statesmen. In an 85-79 win at RIT on Wednesday, he produced 21 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Two days later, Lucas led five Statesmen in double figures with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in an 84-82 overtime win against Union. For the week, he shot 48 percent from the floor, 38 percent from 3-point range, and 69 percent from the free throw line. Lucas became the first first-year to lead Hobart in scoring (16.7 ppg) since 1980-81. His 417 points this season are 3 points shy of the Hobart record for a first-year.
