Vassar College freshman Sammy Stone continued to have a breakout rookie campaign, as she posted four wins over two different days of swimming in four different events. Thursday night at Mount Holyoke, Stone earned a victory in the 200 free with a 1:58.09, the only person under two minutes. Later that evening, she won the 100 free with a 55.87, a second faster than than the next competitor. She also was second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:18.18, and helped Vassar's 400 free relay team to a second-place, 3:51.30 mark. On Saturday in a meet vs. RIT and Hamilton, Stone followed that up with a victory in the 1000 free, chalking up a 10:46.10. Later on that day, she finished second in the 100 free with a 55.77, winning the 200 IM a little later with a 2:15.28, nearly six seconds faster than the runner up.
