In the season opener, a 182-113 victory over RIT, Rensselaer sophomore Shanny Lin set a pool record and reached an NCAA B-Cut in winning the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:05.60. She also won the 100-yard butterfly (58.91), finished second in the 100-yard freestyle (55.30) and helped the 200-yard medley relay team to victory (1:51.39). In total she compiled 33 points for the Engineers.
