University of Rochester freshman Daniel Bronson was responsible for five touchdowns in the first quarter Saturday as Rochester defeated Alfred State College, 61-0. He ran for a 16-yard TD to open the scoring, then threw four TD passes - two to Farid Adenuga (28, 59), one to Derek Wager (35), one to Luke Szumski (72). The four TD strikes tied a Rochester record for TD passes in a game, held by six other players. Bronson finished 5 for 7 for 214 yards and rushed 5 times for 54 yards. He left after the first series of the second quarter with Rochester up, 40-0. This was Rochester's highest point total since 1959 - a 62-8 win at Union.
