In three games to start her career, RPI freshman goalkeeper Rachel Kaufman posted a 2-0 record with a 0.80 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. She played 175 minutes, making 18 saves. In the second half of a 3-1 win over Hartwick, she stopped all four shots she faced. Kaufman then earned the win at No. 14 Mount Holyoke by stopping 12 of 13 shots while playing the entire game, which RPI won 2-1. The next day she stopped two of three shots faced, allowing only a 3-on-1 goal, in a 2-1 win over Geneseo.
