Vassar College senior Heather Ingraham captured the Brewers first-ever national championship as the top finisher in the 400 meters. She came into the race as the top-seed with the top-time in Division III (54.15). In the finals, she posted a new personal best and school record of 53.89, which is the fifth-fastest time in the 400 meters ever recorded in Division III. The time also broke a facility record.
