RPI junior Tyler Yeastedt set a school record in the discus with a fourth-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His preliminary flight throw of 54.11 meters held, earning him a spot on the podium. He was the 18th-seeded thrower in the discus before entering the competition as he opened the event with a 51.61 meter attempt. His second throw went 48.08 meters, which was followed by his record toss of 54.11 meters. The junior also competed at the indoor track & field championships in the weight throw where he finished 14th.
