In two matches last week, RPI sophomore McKinley Grimes went 2-0, helping the Engineers to a pair of victories, both at No. 1 singles. On Saturday, he defeated Hobart's No. 1 singles player, 6-4, 7-5, in a 7-2 win for RPI. The next day, at No. 40 Rochester and with the match tied, 4-4, McKinley won the first set, 6-3, before falling in the second on a tiebreak, 6-7 (7). He came back in the third, clinching the win for the Engineers with a 7-5 victory.
