Hobart College freshman Harry Nichols posted a 2-1 record in singles play in a 3-0 week for the Statesmen. On Tuesday, in a 5-4 victory over Grinnell, Nichols recorded a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles. Later in the day, in a 5-4 victory against Luther, Nichols rallied to take the second set 6-4 before being edged 12-10 in the tiebreaking third set. In a 9-0 sweep of Colby-Sawyer, Nichols won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 3 singles.
