Vassar College freshman Michael Scarlett raced in the 3000 meters at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational at Coastal Carolina, taking home 13th place with a time of 8:57.66. Scarlett was first among Division III runners, and had the third-best freshman time in the event.
