Union College sophomore Noemie Bechu came in second place in the 400 meter dash at the ECAC Championships on Saturday. She broke her own school record with a time of 56.89. Her previous mark was 57.84. Her time moved her up to seventh nationally, qualifying her for the NCAA Indoor Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C. next weekend. She was also part of the 4x200 relay team that competed at the ECAC Championships, which finished with a time of 1:48.51.
