Union College freshman Sam Hoyt earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships with his performance at the NCAA Northeast Regionals over the weekend. On Friday, Hoyt broke a 19-year old school record in the 3-meter, 11 dives event with a score of 552.80 placing sixth. On Saturday, Hoyt placed fifth in the 1-meter, 11-dives event with a score of 469.45.
