RIT senior Matt Giannino shattered the school record at the Penn State Tune-Up Meet Saturday at the Horace Ashenfelter II Indoor Track on the campus of Penn State. Giannino won the 3,000-meter in a record-time of 8:13.99. Giannino's time shattered the old record set in 2008 by Mike Hardbarger by nearly 18 seconds. He missed the top time in the country by three hundredths of a second, and his time is among the top-10 ever in Division III.
