Vassar College freshman Jonah Strand had another solid week in the pool for the Brewers, starting first in a dual meet against Montclair State on 1/21. Strand won three individual events while clocking two new career and season best times. He claimed his first victory of the night in the 100 yard breaststroke, finishing in a career-best 1:05.55 to outpace the field. He went on to hit another career-best in the 200 breaststroke, finishing in 2:14.61 for his second win of the night. Strand wrapped up his solo slate with a victory in the 200 individual medley, finishing in 2:05.74. In a meet versus Roger Williams on 1/24, Strand claimed first in the 200 yard individual medley (2:05.07) with a second place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:02.47).
