High School Penfield Freshman Derek Swarthout was RIT's lone winner of the day, taking the 500-meter dash in a time of 1:08.84 at the Brockport Early Season Invitational. He was also part of the 4 x 400-meter relay team that placed fourth in a time of 3:34.64.
