RPI freshman running back Mike Tivinis rushed for a team-best 89 yards on only five carries as RPI won the Dutchman Shoes Trophy Game, 31-28, to retain the trophy for the second straight season. Among his carries was a 52 yard run to the Union 13 yard line midway through the second quarter that helped set up the Engineers first touchdown which cut their deficit to 14-7. He later had a 27 yard run on RPI's final scoring drive of the game, which resulted in it taking the lead, 31-28.
