William Smith College freshman Hannah Wood notched seven points in a 2-0 week for William Smith. In Wednesday night's 5-2 victory over Ithaca, she recorded a team-high five points on two goals and one assist. In the eighth minute she fed a pass to Katie Meyer who broke in all alone on the goalie to put the Herons up 1-0. Wood's two goals came in the second half. At 56:54, she collected her own rebound and buried the shot in the back of the net to put William Smith up 4-0 nothing. Just past the 65 minute mark, she blasted a shot off of a penalty corner to put the Herons up 5-2. In Saturday's 3-2 victory over Union, Wood scored William Smith's first goal of the game on a shot from the right side of the cage that she just tucked inside the post.
