RIT sophomore Emma Jones crossed the finish line first for RIT and was third overall out of 286 runners at the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday. Jones enjoyed a 5:50 mile pace, cruising the 6,000-meter course in a RIT school record time of 21:44.6, just eight-tenths of a seconds shy of Brockport's Rachel Malone in second place. Malone was an All-American last season. Jones' time of 21:44.6 smashed the previous 6,000-meter best of 22:07.6, set by Erin LaFave at the 2012 Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble.
