NYU freshman Phoebe Zhao led the Violets to their second victory of the season this weekend at the NYU Invitational, placing first out of 12 teams. Led by Zhao's second-round 1-over 73 (third-lowest round in program history), NYU broke the program record for the lowest single-round team score with 300 (previous was 306, set at SLU the weekend before). The Violets also broke the 36-hole tournament record (set the weekend before) by five strokes with an overall 620. Zhao's two-day 152 also tied for the third-lowest 36-hole tournament score in program history. The placed third overall in the field of 63 golfers.
