Union men's track and field freshman javelin thrower Michael Goldstock took home first place at the ECAC Championships on Thursday afternoon at the Ned Harkness Track and Field complex on the campus of Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. Goldstock set a personal and program record with a toss of 65.6 meters. He blew away the competition as the second finisher had a toss of 59.3. This is Goldstock's second event victory of the season. His toss of 65.6 meters puts him in first place in the nation in the event. His toss kept him at the top of the DIII rankings and will compete in the Javelin Throw at the NCAA Championships on May 24, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.
