Union freshman Jake Fishman was named the Liberty League Championship tournament Co-MVP after his performances led the Dutchmen to their first Liberty League Championship and a berth into the NCAA DIII Regional Championships. Fishman earned the Dutchmen's first victory of the tournament when he threw eight innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out a season high eight-batters. His three hits allowed matched a season low in his games started. Fishman was also a terror from the plate. Fishman collected seven hits, four runs scored, five runs batted in and three stolen bases. Fishman showed his speed on the bases by stealing home and scoring on a sacrifice squeeze play over the four games in the field.
