Union senior pitcher Andrew Beaule earned the Dutchmen two key victories, including the Dutchmen's championship game win over Rochester on Saturday afternoon. Beaule started the championship by throwing 135 pitches in a complete game victory over Vassar to secure the Dutchmen's spot in a two-game playoff with Rochester. In nine innings of work he allowed only five hits, one earned run and walked only two while striking out four. Beaule became the star of the tournament on Saturday afternoon when he relieved freshman Devin Martin in the championship game. Beaule piched the final 5.1 innings without allowing a run to secure the Dutchmen's first Liberty League Championship and clinch a berth to the NCAA DIII Regional Championships. His five strike outs were a season high, including striking out the side in the bottom of the eighth inning. For his performances Beaule was named the Tournament Co-MVP.
