RIT senior Matt Giannino broke a 28-year old school record in the 5,000-meter run, as he finished seventh out of 36 runners in the college event at the prestigous Penn Relays on Thursday, April 24. Giannino was the second best Division III finished in a race that was run primarily by Division I runners. Giannino recorded a time of 14:30.22 which broke the pervious school record of 14.32.8 that was set by RIT Hall of Famer Paul Ruston in 1986. Giannino's time is currently the 18th best in all of Division III this season.
