Hobard College senior cornerback Drake Woodard scored the first touchdown of the game on special teams in a 42-14 win over Merchant Marine. The Mariners lined up to punt from their own 29 in the final minute of the first quarter, but the snap when through the punters hands and bounded into the end zone, where Woodard pounced on it for the game's opening scoring. He also added two tackles and a pass break up for the Statesmen.
