Union took home first-place honors in the Second Varsity Eights race in Worcester, beating out three other boats with a time of 7:25.8 over the 2,000 meter course on Lake Quinsigamond. The winning crew consisted of: coxswain Shanna Shi, Rani Plotkin, Allison Borek, Rhea Howard, Hannah Hage, Caitlyn Collins, Rebecca Krasa, Jill Ackermann, and Sarah Wizner. Mt. Holyoke took second (7:28.7), followed by Simmons (7:35.3) and Franklin & Marshall (7:38.5). Union kept pace with the field in the first 500 meters, then gradually pulled away, winning by a boat length.
