RPI freshman Matt LaBarre posted a three-set victory at No. 1 singles to break a 4-4 tie and clinch a 5-4 victory for RPI over No. 26 Skidmore. He won in a tight, three-set match with Jimmy Sherpa, 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-4. LaBarre is ranked 13th in the region in singles, while Sherpa is 18th. In doubles, Matt and playing partner McKinley Grimes lost to Sherpa and Nick Tong, the 11-ranked doubles team in the region, 9-8 (4).
