William Smith College freshman defender Sarah Tompson scored a pair of goals, including a game-winner, as the 16th-ranked Herons posted a pair of victories. She netted William Smith's first and third goals and played strong defense in a 3-0 win over Cortland. The victory was the Herons' first over the Red Dragons since 2002 and snapped Cortland's nine-match winning streak. Tompson also turned in a strong defensive effort in the Herons' 2-1 win at Rochester on Saturday.
