RIT jnuior Sam Huselstein earned honorable mention All-American honors in the 3-meter diving event at the 2014 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday March 22 at the Indiana University Natorium in Indianapolis, Ind. Huselstein also competed in the 1-meter event on Thursday, March 20. Huselstein finished 15th in the 3-meter championship on Saturday evening with a score of 410.85. Huselstein had the 12th best score in the preliminaries of 422.70 to guarantee All-American honors. She is the second different diver in the history of the program to earn All-American accolades, joining Kathy Hugelier, who did so in 1992-93. Maria Zarka of Kenyon won the event with a final score of 494.15. On Thursday, Huselstein finished just outside the top-16 in the preliminaries on Thursday morning which would have qualified her for the evening session and All-American status. Renee Jordan of Macalester won the championship with a top score of 468.90.
