William Smith College junior Emily D'Addario won the Heron Invitational and shattered the previous course record, completing the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes. The previous record of 18:27 was set by William Smith's Amy Young on Oct. 28, 2000. D'Addario's time also marked a new personal best 5k time. She topped her previous best by 19.86 seconds. D'Addario helped William Smith to a second-place team finish. She earned her fifth first place finish this fall. D'Addario set a new course record for the fourth time, and has led the Herons across the finish line in every meet this season.
