In a two-day, five-team tournament in Florida, Rochester freshman Matt van Niekerk fired an opening-round 75 followed by second round 69 (-3) to finish tied for second with an even-par score of 144. The 69 in the second round was the the low round of the tournament. The runner-up finish earned the freshman 1st Team All-UAA honors.
