Freshman Christina Belforti led Union to a third-place finish at the Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association (UNYSCSA) Championships. Belforti broke a five-year old school record in the 100 yard butterfly, claiming a first-place time of 57.03. She also swam the opening leg of a school-record setting performance in the 400 yard medley relay, as the Dutchwomen took third in a time of 3:56.28. Belforti also stood atop the podium with the 200 yard medley relay team, which clocked a first-place finish of 1:47.85. All told, Belforti recorded three individual NCAA cut times -- in the 100 yard butterfly and the 100-and 200 yard backstrokes.
