Clarkson University junior Al Catano, set a meet record in winning the 200-yard backstroke (1:56.93) at the seven-team Kumpf (RPI) Invitational. The previous record was 1:57.24. Catano, who won by more than six seconds in the 200-back (second-place finisher recorded time of 2:03.18), also took second place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.05).
