Playing at #2, Rochester freshman Ryosei Kobayashi fought back from a 2-0 deficit (11-6, 11-6) to defeat eighth-ranked Tyler Osborne of Princeton. Kobayashi won the next three matches, 12-10, 11-7, 11-2. His win gave Rochester a 4-2 lead and was the crucial victory, keeping the Tigers from tying the team score. Rochester won, 6-3, in a battle of #5 (UR) and #7 (Princeton). It was Rochester's first win over Princeton in four years.
