Union junior swimmer Andrew Welch was the only Dutchmen to capture to event victories in Saturday's meet versus Amherst at the Alumni Gym Pool in Schenectady, N.Y. Welch took the 100 yard and 200 yard backstroke events to earn 18 points for the Dutchmen. He won both events by over two seconds after finishing with times of 53.62 and 1:29.21 respectively. Welch also had a third place finish in the 200 yard IM to top off the day with 21 points.
