WPI sophomore Sean Murphy delivered big plays in the Engineers 31-21 triumph over Rochester. The junior cornerback had a hand in a pair of second half Rochester turnovers in the red zone. Murphy recovered a fumble at the WPI 10 yard line late in the third quarter and officially extinguished the Yellowjackets Liberty League title hopes with an interception at the WPI 5 with 3:32 remaining in the game. Murphy also chipped in with five tackles (all solo) and a pair of pass breakups and setup WPI’s first touchdown with a 74-yard kickoff return to the Rochester 21 yard line.
