In the HWS Challenge on the Canal, Hobart dominated the varsity eight race, winning by 15 seconds over the runner-up, Hobart's second varsity eight. The Statesmen's top crew covered the 4-kilometer course in 14:43. The Hobart varsity eight was powered by Sam Zuckerman, August Wherry, Patrick Ware, Julien Green, Robert McNamara, Matthew Sylvan, Austin Letorney, Nick Baca, Chris DePaola. The rest of the field included Rochester, Ithaca (1V and 2V) and Canisius.
