RPI junior kicker Andrew Franks kicked a school record five field goals, including a school record-tying 50-yarder and a 37-yarder with 1:04 left in the fourth quarter, to lead Rensselaer to a 24-21 win at Alfred. Among the field goals for Franks was tying his own school record of 50 yards in the first half, a 40-yard strike in the fourth quarter that tied the game at 21-21 and his game-winner. He also had a 45-yarder and a 31-yard kick. He was 5-for-5 on field goal attempts, while also kicking an extra point to account for 16 of RPI's 24 points.
