Junior linebacker Danny Macalena helped lead the Springfield College football team to a 36-0 victory over Husson in the Pride's home opener. Macalena finished the game with 10 tackles as Springfield posted its first shutout since 2010. The Congers, N.Y. native also had four tackles for loss for 15 yards and forced a fumble. His tackles for loss very especially timely, with two coming on key third downs and another on a fourth-down attempt.
