Hobart College freshman David Shankman posted a 2-1 singles record at the No. 2 spot and a 2-1 mark at No. 1 doubles in his first collegiate action in the Flower City Invitational this weekend. In a 9-0 sweep of Elmira, he topped his Soaring Eagle opponent 6-0, 6-1 and paired with Michael Fields for an 8-4 victory in doubles. In an 8-1 win over Oneonta in the semifinals, Shankman logged a 6-0, 6-1 singles victory and an 8-3 win in doubles.
