In his first collegiate meet, RPI freshman Benjamin Fazio won the Rensselaer Invitational, leading the field of 52 runners with a time of 15:43.5 over the 3.04 mile course at Saratoga Spa State Park. He was 15 seconds ahead of the next runner. RPI finished second in the 3-team field, just one point from first.
