Freshman Matt Hossack played a critical role in helping RIT advance to the NCAA Title game for the first time in program history. He scored twice, caused four turnovers and had six ground balls in the quarterfinals and semifinals combined.
On Wednesday, Hossack scored a goal, grabbed three ground balls andcaused a turnover in a 14-5 win over Tufts in the national quarterfinals. He followed that up with a goal, three caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 10-9 overtime win at Cortland in the national semifinals.
Hossack has five points on the season on four goals and an assist to go along with 47 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers.
