Unseeded in the event, Skidmore College freshman Miles Ransom advanced to the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship singles semifinals. He beat teammate and #3 seed Luke Granger in the quarterfinals, before losing to eventual champion Yevgeny Perepelov of Hunter in the semifinals.
