With RPI trailing by 11 points heading into the fourth quarter of a critical Liberty League game against Rochester, Hermann helped the Engineers close the gap when he ducked past multiple defenders on a 59-yard touchdown run just 20 seconds into the quarter. He then ran into the end zone on the two-point conversion. After a three-and-out by Rochester, Hermann struck again with a 41-yard TD pass for a 28-24 lead with 3:22 left in the game. He finished by completing 15 of 31 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns and no interceptions. On the ground, he rushed for a game-high 110 yards and two scores. And he made a solo tackle as RPI defeated the Yellowjackets, 28-24.
