St. Lawrence University freshman Spencer Patterson turned in the best time among Liberty League competitors in the mile with a fourth-place finish at the Springfield Invitational. Patterson, who recorded a time of 4:24.16, also helped the Saints to the win in the 4 x 800-meter relay.
